Friends!
Please join the Alliance for Sears Island at a Maine Department of Transportation public open house in Searsport on Wednesday, October 25!
Let MDOT know that you support development of an offshore wind facility at Mack Point, and oppose development of that facility on Sears Island, if any such facility is to be built in Penobscot Bay.
Help us to make a strong showing of “Mack Point – Not Sears Island” people, some with placards, some interacting non-confrontationally with MDOT people, some challenging MDOT on specific issues, some perhaps showing thanks and due respect to Sprague Energy for their low-impact Mack Point plan.
The open house runs from 11 am to 7 pm at the Searsport Community Building, 42 Prospect Street, Searsport. MDOT will show their current designs for a floating offshore wind port at Sears Island and Mack Point.
We think the best time to attend would be between 11 and 2, but any time is a good time to send the clear message to MDOT – “Mack Point – Not Sears Island” – if an offshore wind port is built in Penobscot Bay.
